I would like to write you an appreciation note for your unfailing service in broadcasting a wide range of Tibet related news and commentaries. Within a short span of time, RFA come a long way in enlightening the Tibetan people with latest daily news that we as a struggling people should be aware of. You have won our heart and our reliability on you has shoot up high. We hope that you keep up the good work and continuous to strive towards achieving excellence in your news services.

The outstanding features of RFA are your ability of featuring diverse programs not only focusing on news. I applaud the uniqueness, creativity and innovation that exhibit from your programs such as telephone conversation, features, and children's stories. By cutting across the distance, listeners as far as in Tibet and China are encouraged to share their views and opinions in your telephone conversations. You should give more priority to listeners in Tibet, as they lack freedom of expression. Knowing their sentiment is crucial.

The education and children's story is another excellent program. HH the Dalai Lama time and again stressed that young Tibetan should preserve the culture and give importance to Tibetan language and spoken. Tibetan children in the west have little opportunity for studying Tibetan and they are very much westernized. Unfortunately many even can't speak Tibetan. We feel your children's program is the perfect opportunity in inculcating some sense of interest in Tibetan language through stories. It kindles their curiosity to listen more because of the story. But that is how they can pick up and learn Tibetan. Tibetan parents particularly in Switzerland doing their best in teaching at least the spoken Tibetan to their children. The program can serve a perfect educational kit for the Tibetan children and adult. It is more entertaining than any other features. If you can put the children's stories in written on the web that will also be great.

I used to listen RFA through real player on the internet. It is very clear and you can play with yourself. Sometimes the Tibetan font appeared as I logged into Tibetan section of RFA, while sometimes it does not appear. It is nice to be able to read the headlines of news in Tibetan on your web. I feel you can upgrade your web and make it more serviceable to listeners and browsers.

And finally, I think the above should be observed not only by the station broadcaster, translator but should also be followed by the field reporters, so that the news will be understood by the lowest rung of the common people and will reach broader segments of listeners. Also such suggestion if found acceptable should be intimated to the fellow colleagues and field reporters. And lastly, with these, I hope Tibetan Radio Broadcasting will improve a lot at par with the famous radio broadcasters and achieve the objectives as well as the amount spent is legitmised.
